“Once I take it, get out.” In my haze, I thought I heard the bathroom water running again.

I probably feel this way since I don’t have anything to do and I’m bored. I'm no longer on drip, so I can move about easily. I slowly get out of bed, not wanting to wake Nek up; I almost trip as my feet touches the ground; but I grab the head rest fixed to the bed just in time for balance. I slowly walk to the bathroom; careful to not tire my body, on my way, I grab my clothes and enter the bathroom.

Chapter 11 Authors POV Authors POV Drip.Drip.Drip.Drip.. the sound of the water hitting the ground from the tap was the only sound that echoed through the entire washroom as Ella stood still, her eyes raving around the entire space, hands by her waist trying to make sure she wa steady to face the pack again after what had happened last night. She could barely think and more so barely even breathe when she found herself being hauled across the hallway and into a room by her mother.

I’m not stuck in a dream because this is real. I’m trapped. I strain to listen, my ears searching for any sound, any clue that might tell me where I am. But there’s nothing. Just silence, thick and suffocating. A drip lands on my forehead, cold and startling. I flinch, but I can’t wipe it away. Another drip, and then another, steady like a leaking pipe. My breath catches in my throat. Water? Panic grips me, full force, wrapping around my chest like a vise. I scream again, louder this time. “Gabriel! Please!”

And then… Drip. A soft, wet sound. Drip. The sound of blood… hitting the floor.

Thank the Goddess. A draft slid across my skin. The window was open; beyond it, the night pressed black and indifferent. A dull ache throbbed at my temple. I sat up, dizzy. What was that? A dream? A waking hallucination? The water sound persisted; a single droplet falling, then waiting, then falling again. Fear prickled down my arms. Something in the dream felt too vivid, too angry to be only a dream. Was the creature real? I listened, straining. The drip came from the bathroom.

I wait a bit hoping that maybe someone would come towards me but they all seemed busy talking, talking about something I couldn't fatom. They were so engrossed in whatever they were talking about to even notice that I was awake. Chapter 29 Drip Drip Drops of water dripped on the shiny, golden floor. I almost felt sorry if not for the fact that my body is shivering, I could have imagined my lips turning blue because of the standing under the shelter in my soaked clothes for God knows how long. When the elevator dinged, I had the sudden urge to jump and sing but I didn't have much time before I accidentally fell unconscious from the cold.
