I stood on the street corner for what felt like hours, finally gathering enough courage to attempt mind-linking with my sisters. Unsurprisingly, they had blocked my mental connection long ago. I sighed and pulled out my phone, calling my Alpha sister, Alexa. Twenty years as siblings should count for something. No matter how ugly things had become, we deserved one final meal together. She disconnected my calls repeatedly before finally shutting her phone off completely. I swallowed it down and dialed my Beta sister, Riley. This time, after an eternity of ringing, she deigned to answer, like she was granting me some grand favor.

So, this was it. She had wanted to die, yes, but she hadn’t expected death to be this cruel. Even in her final moments, there was no peace, only burning agony. But she didn’t fight it. Cindy looked fearful as she stuttered, "K-Karl, I don't have the money…" The man grabbed her by the hair and slammed her head against the wall. "No money? Then, you'd better come up with some! Didn't you say your sister had money? Get her out here to pay me back!" Cindy's wound split open again. She hissed in pain but still forced a smile, terrified of angering them. As a result, the expression on her face looked unnaturally twisted. "My sister is dead," she said. A heavy kick landed on her abdomen.

"And what happened? What happened?! Those monsters, they saw her weak and dizzy, thinking she couldn't fight back! So, they… they…" The words choked me. My chest heaved, sobs clawing their way out as tears poured down faster. "They took turns on her, over and over… in that freezing van in Deadman's Hollow. And my sister… she died with her eyes wide open. "She couldn't understand! She gave them her food, her medicine, her warmth—everything! And… they still did that to her! Why? Why?!" My head shot up as my eyes locked on Alex, bloodshot and wild.

And all you can do is pout, sulk, crib, and cry as if you’ve been deprived of good candies. "RIP brother clans. May you never get elder sisters, because they are a pain in the ass as much as a turkey might cause a pain in the stomach". But if sisters didn’t exist then where’s the fun of a brother. He chuckled at his own humour and as he looked at the wall clock, he harboured a horrified look instantly and dashed out of the room like a tsunami to the boardroom. His death was written for today but not from his father, Christian Walker's hands but from Simone Thompson’s hand as the D-day was here.

If I tried killing them with my bare hands, Salem would probably pummel me to death. He grunted, his body tensing as it always did when he climaxed. The Sister beneath him let out a warped, inhuman scream. She arched her back, her pitch-black eyes wide open, her deformed breasts thrown out. Then she fell backwards again, her expression hollow. She did not move again. Salem became still, his eyes widening. “She’s . . . dead?” His voice was hollow. “A necessary price for the transfer of power,” said the Sister to his right. She licked his ear.

DARK SISTER POV I knew I shouldn’t be festering on it. I knew I needed to let it go and stop wallowing, but how can I? When my sisters and I died, we died together. Selene and I were cut down that day side by side, while our elder sister, the strong and brave warrior spirit of us all, rushed out ahead in an attempt to fight off the pillagers of our small village.
