I walked to the window and looked out at the campus. Students crossed the quad in groups, laughing, talking, holding hands. The lake glittered in the distance, blue and calm and innocent. The lake where my sister died. The lake where someone held her under until she stopped fighting. I pressed my palm to the glass. "I'm sorry, Alice," I whispered. "I'm sorry I couldn't do this alone."

"What the hell are you doing, Dale? An injury like that could completely ruin her ability to lead the team during the assessment tomorrow." Dale kept his freezing gaze locked on me, as if I had just crossed an inviolable line. "She was about to lay her hands on Maya, and I just stopped her." I pushed myself off the floor and got onto my feet. After looking down at the bleeding gash on my knee, I laughed. "One is supposedly my little sister, trying to get me to cheat in the assessment so my scores get voided. The other is supposedly my boyfriend, constantly defending the one trying to sabotage me and shoving me to the ground.

The scar on his eye was angry red. Behind him stood Damian. Her murderer. Her fiancé. Seeing him made Arielle’s blood boil. The Void surged. Kill him, it whispered. Rip his throat out. Arielle clenched her fists. Not yet, she told the monster. Wait. "Lycian," Kaelen said smoothly. He didn't stand up. "You look well." "For a terrorist." Lycian sat opposite him. He didn't touch the tea. "Self-defense, Kaelen."

My Second Sister and Alice were dead. The two smartest people in our family were gone. The chat exploded into a frenzy. I looked at my parents. “Do you want to know why I’m getting home so late tonight? A client forced me to down an entire bottle of hard liquor. I was in the washroom puking my guts out. “And while I was out there breaking my back, I saw my own sister showing off the apartment you bought her. It’s the one I’ve been working really hard to afford but will never, ever have! Daphne stood up and said in a shrill voice, “Lina, how can you talk to Mom and Dad like that? They’ve sacrificed so much to raise us—”

As he returned to work, I brought him a glass of water, when he just happened to reach out. We touched each other, but he withdrew his hand first and pretended like nothing happened. "Your sister won't survive." There was no doubt about it—anyone who could be objective would be able to see that there was no hope for my sister. Even with that mysterious spell that kept her alive despite losing almost all of her blood, it was just pointless. Two weeks later, the cops found her dried-up corpse in the middle of the street, every last drop of fluid drained out of her body.

“You can't waste any more minute here, or the Luna's assassins will find us.’’ Madam Leah, pulls me up fast, though with a guided arm around my waist. “A–assassins?’’ My heart skips, thudding in horror as my strained muscles stretch out painfully. “Judge me, but I don't blame her for wanting to kill you.’’ She's helping me to the door. “She thinks she's trying to protect the Alpha, but the consequences could be deadly in future.’’ I have alot to say about how she speaks of me like I'm anything special, but the thought that Luna Emily is trying to kill me is heavier. "You are a trap." Killix’s voice rang in my ears as I seemed to understand what he was trying to mean. My eyes slowly widened as I still kept my gazes on them. Killix’s sister, Ciara, suddenly raised her eyebrows yet the sweats forming on her bare forehead said otherwise on what she was trying to act. “What is your real agenda, Ciara?” Killix growled as he held the latter's shoulder that made her flinched. He then quickly distanced his self away from his sister then massaged his temples. “Do you ever came here just to fool me?”

Despite this, disappointment arises as soon as she hears her brother speaking. "Yeah, alright. I get it. He is the most beautiful, cute, handsome and adorable person you have even seen. But you see, my not so adorable sister, what the fuck it has to do with me? Why are you making my ears bleed?" Killian finally voices out his annoyance. From the corner of his eyes, he sees her nostrils flaring in anger. He makes distance between himself and his sister when he catches her moving her arm to hit him rather than folding her clothes clumsily.

The scene aroused everyone except Trishia and the curly woman who wanted to kill her sister for betraying her. "You bitch!" The curly woman could not control herself anymore as she attacked her sister and ended up squabbling with each other on the ground. The scene for Trishia was very compelling. The sisters with great coordination were now killing each other. Then Trishia grabbed a dagger from one of the men beside her and threw it in front. Driven with intense anger, the curly woman got the knife first and cut her sister's throat. Everyone was cheering for the one who successfully got out alive. "Bravo! You killed your sister!" Trishia applauded. "Now drop the dagger to the ground or I wi
