Dumbledore's Phoenix Name Novels & Stories

"Alexis, what happened? You need to tell me what happened." My eyes flickered towards Mrs Velt but she gave me nothing, her face holding a neutral expression, it was clear that she didn't seem to care what I told her. "It's the trials, Zee. These are the side effects of it." Referring to my body, so understood the message every part of it, everyone in the room seemed to still want to know more. Her eyes turned cold, the normal warm, sweet chocolate melted. "They used Phoenix, didn't they." Again, it came out more of a statement than a question.

She briefly answered, got up and walked towards the bed leaving Genevieve looking at her in surprise. Lilia walked back to her dungeon but the words of the girl kept ringing in her mind, a part of her told her that there is more to this and she is so eager to find out what is wrong and the truth relating to this. The strange girl introduced herself as Natacha, the name was foreign to her, but her confession on being a witch still baffled her. There was a witch in the kingdom as a maid and no one knew about this? Not even the almighty Suna who sees herself so smart as to detect any evil presence surrounding her.

” Professor Kirigan paused and that's when I realized I was holding my breath. “What happened next?” One of the students asked the exact thing I wanted to ask. “That’s your assignment.” He said dismissingly causing the disapproving noise to erupt in the classroom. Curse him for being so clever. And just like that, Mr. Kirigan had managed to keep my mind occupied for the whole day. As I went to the playgrounds, I kept thinking about the story he had told us. The Golden Phoenix. Was there such a sacred creature? The phoenix. And did it really possess such gifts, immune to small science aka witchcraft and magic, yet too powerful to all creatures of the world?

“This looks more magnificent today.” Dumbledore complimented. “Oh!! Actually I did some refurnishing during the weekend. But here it is, a space has been made for you.” I mumbled as we entered the lift. “And over there.” I pointed at the end of the hall and the door had a bold inscription, “ASSOS. DUMBLEDORE VOLDEMORT”, he smiled as he saw how his name was boldly written. “Woah!! Such formality!!” He snapped.

He looked like someone who didn’t trust the world not to try and kill him. I didn’t ask how he knew my name. Everyone knew it: Ember Aurelia Ashbourne, the last phoenix. Names carried power, people said. Mine carried expectation, fear, and a price tag big enough to make men like him willing to risk their lives to claim it. But the way he’d said my name earlier, flat, clinical, without the awe or revulsion I’d come to expect… was different. He hadn’t whispered it like it was something sacred or spat it like it was something cursed. He’d just said it. Like I was a job. And that was worse.

She was very pretty, she almost looked unreal. “Well, I don’t really have a name but you can call me girl.” My brows furrowed in confusion but I nodded. Girl? That is a weird name. “I’m Phoenix,” I say, looking past her to the boy behind her. they look almost exactly the same, just that he has more defined and rugged features and his hair isn’t as long as hers. “Yeah, we know.” She says giddily. He peeps from behind her, his lips stretching in a smile. “We have been waiting for you.”

Soon though, the smoke made it impossible to see, and the Matron could no longer find her way back to the bathroom. From outside, Scarlet and the others watched from a safe distance. Before long, the entire building was a burning blaze, and any chance of survival was clearly impossible. It was at this moment that Scarlet turned to her fellow orphans and made a vow. “Tonight, we rise from the ashes of our past. No longer will we be constrained to our memories of this place or by the Matron. We will live freely and support each other as we continue to build promising futures for ourselves and our family. Tonight, I also announce that I have acquired a legal last name Phoenix! Tonight, like the

"Actually, we had been placed at the bottom of all the beast clans because the beastkin regarded us as the faded Peacock Clan. What they didn’t know was that we were, in fact, the Phoenix Clan. We had no interest in the competition, so we sealed our noble bloodline and remained hidden. We phoenixes have always kept a low profile, earning our wealth through diamonds and the trade of enchanted goods—unlike the other clans, who rely on power and politics. If the clans were ranked by wealth, we would confidently claim first place.” "Our people pursue ascension. Most of our wealth goes toward cultivating and refining spiritual medicine. This world’s resources are limited. We have no interest in s

He smiled and then cast a downward gaze. “It’s Phoenix Reinn. But my sister called me Phinny or Phin,” he said, eyes flashing a moment of sadness. I remembered the golden bird on his back. The phoenix rising, just as the legend recounted how the bird rose from the ashes. I cupped his face, pulling his face to mine. “Phoenix… I like that. But you don’t have to do this alone anymore. I’m with you now and I’m not going anywhere. My mate.” His gaze focused with hunger as he said, “My Luna.”
