THE MISJUDGED LUNA
Which meant their ambush had failed?
Night dragged on, witnessing Justin fall in and out of sleep, occasionally waking up violently from a nightmare, while the man from the next cage whimpered and shivered all night. The next morning, the dungeon underground was still dark, the only way Justin could tell that it was morning was because the darkness had eased up a bit, and he could see a little better. Justin’s eyes greeted the prisoner next door, taking in the man’s… well, colorful details. He looked dirty and his clothes were stained with blood, some his, some from other men. His eyes were red, scared, and jumpy, like a rat that had mistakenly stumbled into a wolf’s den.
