Dungeon Only I Can Enter Novels & Stories

Following the map on the quest sheet, Matthew finally arrived at the dungeon’s entrance after an hour of searching. The entrance was not grand and seemed thousands of years old. Matthew had forgotten how exciting it was to explore a dungeon. “Well, let’s go in then.” Matthew said to himself. The stone slabs that made the dungeon were mossy and cracked. Cobwebs filled the ceilings while the floor was littered with dirt. Each side of the walls had an array of mysterious stones as a light source. Five people could fit in the hall, so it was quite easy to move in since Matthew came alone.

Ding-dong! “Welcome, players, to the dungeon. Nightmare Entanglement. Dungeon Objective. Survive for 3 days. Dungeon Difficulty: SSS-level. Wish you all the best!” So I had never been a player. I had been an unawakened dungeon boss. Jack still lay on the ground, his chest rising and falling slightly. He clearly had not died yet. I lifted my foot and crushed his head with one stomp. Because the dungeon had triggered, the players who had entered the game with me would have to restart from the beginning.

Currently, we are standing in front of the dungeon entrance we're about to enter. Its location is beneath a tall cliff. The dungeon door is three meters high and two meters wide. At first glance, it appears to be a regular cave entrance, but the guild has determined it to be an underground dungeon based on reports from an adventurer who discovered it first. The entrance is covered with dense shrubs, and wild grass grows around the path leading to the cave. It's difficult for us to approach the dungeon as there is no established footpath. This location is truly untouched and unexplored.

Be careful. There are two essential reasons why combatants, when entering dungeons, must be in a peaceful and unseen spot: every time a group of players from a given guild wished to break into a dungeon. They would undoubtedly hunt for a deserted place. The first explanation that made the most sense was that if they entered a dungeon in a public location, anyone might enter through an open portal and gain access, even if he merely stayed hidden in a secure region of the Dungeon and did not take part in the struggle to slay monsters.

There was perfect silence, and not even knitting could actually kill the boredom which was gradually seeping in. “Oh, wait!” I said, under my breath as I recalled something which created a surge of excitement in me. It was the dungeon. The dungeon had a particular path which Liam, Lucas’ beta, didn’t take me through. The dungeon seemed really old, as well, so maybe; just maybe I could find something, anything. I rose to my feet immediately, and picked up my phone, then looked around. “What else do I need?” I said, under my breath, scanning around.

Carl clung to my lifeless body, refusing food, refusing water. I had no idea how long he stayed like that. The air was thick with decay, the stench unbearable. I had no choice—I entered his dream. He held me tight, whispering over and over, "Yara, don't leave me." I stroked his back. "Let me go. I don't want my body rotting away—it'll be horrible. Please... cremate me. Scatter my ashes into the sea. That's my last wish."

That would work in my favor. The dungeon was underground, accessible only by two known entry points — one near the throne hall and the other behind the servant’s wing, near the cold cellar. The throne hall was crawling with guards. Which left only one option. I started walking quickly toward the kitchens. I knew the castle better than most. I’d wandered every lonely corner when I’d been ignored, unseen. Every time someone tried to forget me, I’d found a new place to belong in silence. That silence was finally going to serve me.

Nathan wasn’t at the table, I told myself not to care. I took extra food and told a maid to get a paper plate taking the food along as I went to the dungeon. “You need a permit to enter.” a guard stopped me the moment I stepped forward. I narrowed my eyes and pitched my voice with deadly calm. “Unless you’d like to spend tomorrow jobless and explaining to the Alpha why you denied access to his wife, I suggest you step aside.” A flicker of hesitation crossed his features. His grip on the spear faltered slightly.

"Then remove the barrier, let me out, and bring it back up." He shook his head, "It does work that way, I used the last of my energy to set a barrier around this dungeon. Only an animal can enter, and that's because of food." "Tell me you’re joking." Grace paled. "My name is Aegnor, and you must be Grace. It is better to come in terms with your situation and kill every notion of hope because the barrier is linked to my life, and any attempt at it would result in my death and the collapse of this place." Aegnor smiled, "Sit still and look pretty. No one is coming for us."
