"Since I'm handsome and you're a total knockout, we do look like father and daughter, and I happen to love it when you call me Daddy."
When he turned that gaze on Diana, the smile vanished and his expression went hard and irritated.
"See, Mommy? I can call him Daddy," her daughter pressed.
"But, sweetie... Mr. Turner is my boss, and—" She shot him a sour look before finishing. "With how moody he gets, we could be here today and he could decide to fire me tomorrow."
"No, Daddy's not going to fire you," the little girl declared, oblivious to the staring match happening over her head. "My brothers say we're going to live here forever."
