Jared Noble laughed from next to Mable. Rand narrowed his eyes at his overly late son who was supposed to be the best man. Wade jumped off the horse with Kanda in his arms like he carried a kitten instead of a curvy woman. He set her in next to Mable, patted her butt and hurried to the front. Kanda stared at him with glazed eyes and beamed at his back. Jet chuckled from beside Maggie. “Never thought I would see the day someone could make her look like that.” Maggie chuckled with him.

Once I've lugged it inside, I rest it on the bed and shift.

Blade came out with his usual all black clothing—a big black sweatshirt, a black baggy jean, black glasses, black face cap, black sneakers— and a revolver carefully tucked by his side. There was the Copper-winged Eagle. It was a male and had a very arrogant look in its eyes. It was quite easy to identify this one. Then, suddenly, I noticed the lethal energy pouring out from its wings and shook my head with a smirk. “This is a Russet Poison-type Eagel!” One of the men gave out a laugh filled with mockery. “Do you have a problem, sir?”

The massive hulk of the silver-beaked eagle smashed a wide crater in the ground, rocking the earth and kicking up waves of dirt into the air. "Please... Don't kill me! Please!" The eagle was not at all hurt and it covered its eyes with its large wings, whimpering for mercy. Chu Xun nearly doubted what he saw. Eagles are known to be majestic predators of the skies and this particular bird was a Seventh-grade Beast Lord. And yet here it was, looking as cowardly as a wild duck. One of the daggers had stabbed my right eye. The silver burned through my eye and when I pulled out the dagger, the fluid from my eyeball gushed out. Now, I wear a patch over my right eye and live with horrible scars on my face and body, a constant reminder of Celeste.

He is tall, really tall, with ivory hair and icy, wild eyes. A viking, my first thought was. ''Shift'' he orders me with a strange accent. No emotion in his voice.

He is smart after all. Ella huffs in anger as she gets into the car. I expect Alpha Elijah to do the same, but he doesn’t. Instead, he takes calculated steps towards me and when we are just a few inches away, he stops and looks me straight in the eye. I don’t look away, instead I take that opportunity to examine the emotions I see swimming in his eyes and they get me all confused. Something about the way he looks at me tells me that he doesn’t want to do this, that he’s only doing this to satisfy his ego, but not his heart.
