Kaleb said his eyes were studying the sky. “Well that is one of the most important ones.” Danica smirked. “I feel like you want to teach me something.” Kaleb said, smirking. “Aye! Can I tell you?” Danica laughed eagerly. “Aye go ahead.” Kaleb said, watching her light up. He watched her search the sky and then spotted something. She motioned for him to come stand next to her. “Ok so each part of the sky has constellations that stay in that section. In the northern section you can find Draco. See it here.” Danica said, running her fingers along the shape in the sky.

Eddie smiled, pleased that he could share his passion for astronomy with her. Luna remembered that when they first met, they had done the same thing. The difference was that back then, they only had makeshift tools to use, and they would cook, joke, and talk about their favorite things. "Do you see that cluster of stars over there?" Eddie asked, pointing to a group of stars. "That's the Pleiades, also known as the Seven Sisters. It's an open star cluster located in the constellation Taurus." Luna listened intently as Eddie told her the names and history of the different star clusters and constellations. She was fascinated by the stories and the way Eddie spoke with such enthusiasm.

Zane Stark pointed to the sky and said: "Guess what's the name of that constellation?" Before his riddle, Marris rubbed her chin thoughtfully and tried to remember what she had learned, she replied: "It's... It's Sagittarius, isn't it?" "That's right. What about the other one?" Zane Stark again pointed at some star in the night sky. However, it's not in the theory that Marris knows, so there's a chance it's... "Hm... unnamed star" "I'll name it... Marris, okay?"

“There is no Dory constellation.” “Sure there is.” I tell her, pointing to the triangular stars again. “You see the front star is her nose, the back star is her tail, and the top star is her dorsal fin. Dory.” I feel her body start to shake with her chuckle. That’s better. I continue making up stupid constellation names until she joins in and we end up laughing and joking before finally settling in to relax and just enjoy the night. “I need to get you home. You’re still recovering and I want to see you again tomorrow. I don’t want your dad banning me again.”

He spoke as if we were sitting in the sunlit parlor during a midday tea, rather than standing in a dark, shadow drenched hallway in the throes of an unseasonable cycle. “The stars are particularly bright tonight,” he continued, his gaze shifting slightly toward the high, narrow windows at the end of the hall. “The constellation of the Great Wolf is almost at its zenith. It is a sign of stability, Molly. A reminder that the heavens move in a predictable, orderly fashion, regardless of the storms on the ground.”

I made it weird, so it’s my job to make it normal again. After a while, Ben lies back against the blanket and points at the sky. “That’s Orion.” I join him, follow the line of his finger. “That bright one there?” “Mm-hmm!” He smiles. “Or it’s the center of his belt, at least.” This is a classic romantic moment. We sat side by side as the boat rocked gently, the sun sinking into the ocean. “I haven’t had a day like this in… I don’t even know how long,” I said, leaning my head on his shoulder. “Me neither,” he admitted. We stayed out there until the stars came out, tiny pinpricks of light scattered across the dark sky. Reed pointed out constellations, making up ridiculous stories for each one. “That one?” he said, pointing to a messy cluster. “That’s the Great Pancake. Legend says if you see it, you’ll never burn your breakfast again.”
