I pointed. “Let’s find a table.” He steers me to one and pulls out my chair. I sit, sipping away at my drink. I can’t see Hades or Marissa in the crowd anywhere, and I relax, content to watch the crowd and remain out of harm’s way. Jackson comes back with two plates of food, and we begin to eagerly devour the delicious treats on offer. “God, that’s good,” I moaned, shoving my plate away and feeling stuffed to the brim.

He smiled. “What would you like to eat?” Victoria nodded. “We'll just order that.” Jackson lowered his head and looked at the steak left by Marcello, and there was caviar on the steak, normally people in this country wouldn't eat steak this way. Was her client a foreigner? Jackson pondered, and looking at Victoria trying to insinuate herself with him, he thought there must be something wrong. However, he said nothing, pushed the plate away, picked up the menu, and ordered something for himself.

I grumble, shaking off his hands and sitting down at the island. God it feels good to sit on something that isn't soft. "Fine, but if Hardin finds out I wasn't here today." Jackson gives me a pointed stare, sliding a plate of hot burgers across the island. I smile broadly at the chef. "Thank you." "No problem Alpha." He waves dismissively, turning back to the food still cooking. "Do you fancy watching Avengers Endgame with me?" Jackson asks hopefully, picking a burger from my plate and eating it. I didn't care, but in a couple of weeks taking my food will end badly. I had a short fuse last time, and that was before the bloodlust and raging anger.

After a quick catch-up, we sit with the Priest and discuss the service and what we want to happen. “Right, I have also booked a table for a meal locally, so we are going there now.” Jackson smiles as we get ready to leave. Getting there, we all order. Sitting talking, Jackson has been the perfect gentleman, with none of the naughty antics that he would generally do. He is just even more amazing right now. “So, Jackson, what is it you do?” My Dad asks. I look up. Oh crap! What is he going to say to this? He can’t exactly tell him he runs Seductive Vibrations, can he?

Listening to me se whined, "Momma!!." "No momma Ella." "Okay mommy." she nodded faking a sad look. Saying this she went back to eating her chocolates. My attention went to Jackson. He was on the same place rocking on his heels looking on the ground with his hands inside his jean's pocket. "Jackson come on take one more chocolate." Ethan asked. "I had one already." "You can take more." Ethan said urging him to take a chocolate from the box. "No no mister I already had one, don't wanna eat more."

He set me in the passenger's seat of the Mustang and buckled me in. "Want to stop somewhere to grab a bite on the way home?" "Sonic?" "Tater Tots?" I smiled. "Of course." We sat down at the kitchen table and ate tater tots and chicken strips. A nice change of pace from Ramen and peanut butter sandwiches. We didn't say much as we ate, but I knew we were both thinking about the same thing. Jackson started college in early August. We had a little less than three months, and time was going way too fast.

Jackson pulled out a chair, sat down, and ate a bit of the chicken. "She cooks? Jennie doesn't know how to fix a meal! When did she learn to prepare delicious food? Jennie has never made a decent meal in her life. The Jennie that I know has never cooked this well in her lifetime." He stated out of shock. The food tasted sweet, but his heart was bitter. Jackson did not desire to cause another argument out of this, so he devoured every single dish before him. Then Jackson cleans the table, gets the dishes washed, and heads up to their room.
