It wasn't in tune with his normal behavior. Feeling concerned, she studied him. Watching the slow rise and fall of his chest, wondering what he was thinking beneath all his layers. There was no doubt that Jackson was a little rough around the edges, but she liked that about him. Maybe even a little too much.

"Eh, I usually go their for the fries. It's like they're salt is made of crystal meth." He grins. Azalea shook her head at his response and settled down.

He was acting like we were here on a vacation. That afternoon we barely talked, Jackson was on the couch playing PlayStation 4, some race car game that was boring the hell outta me. He was having a huge bowl of tortilla chips and a can of Coke. I'd noticed he always ate all that junk food and still managed to stay fit. I decided to cook something for lunch. I said as he was coming out of the break room, holding what I suspected was a salad. How a salad made its way to the break room was beyond me but, what was even more shocking was the fact that Jackson had eaten said salad. He noticed me staring and chuckled, “My trainer wants me to include vegetables into my diet. It's supposed to help with something but I feel like such an animal, eating grass.” He complained. “You are a wolf,” I said. So, he wasn't too far off with the animal thing. “Yup. Do you want to tell me something?” he suddenly asked.
