“Eduardo!” Austin cried, slapping his hand into the older tanned gentleman’s palm. He was cooler, more considered in his reply. “Austin, good to see you. And this is?”
“My scribe for the weekend,” Austin replied.
“Scribe you say, I didn’t know we could fetch our own to these things?” he said, sipping his wine and raising an eyebrow at me. His dark eyes and hair resembled Dex’s but lacked that charisma. Dex’s persona was riddled with dangerous desire and urgency. Eduardo looked more like a man on vacation. He was relaxed, the leader of a pack too awkwardly located to ever declare war on.
