She picked up her tray, the glass vials clinking against the metal.
"The phone is pre-programmed with one contact," she said, her voice dropping back into a professional, detached tone as footsteps echoed faintly in the hallway outside. "When you reach the sedan, hit send. He’s waiting for your call."
She turned toward the door, unlocking it with a quiet click, then paused, looking back over her shoulder.
"Don't lose faith, Sera. The nightmare is almost over."
She slipped out into the dimly lit corridor, disappearing into the shadows like a phantom.
