Chapter 21: The Dawn of a New Era The dawn was not gentle. It cut through the cracks of the sanctuary with sharp golden light, illuminating walls scarred by battle and corridors littered with rubble. Smoke still lingered, but the chaos that had once roared like a storm had finally begun to settle. Ethan stood atop the central hall, silver energy fading slowly from his eyes. His chest heaved from exhaustion, but his posture remained unbroken. He looked over the survivors—soldiers, creatures, and allies alike—and felt the weight of command like a crown heavy with responsibility.
