HE'S MY ALPHA

HE'S MY ALPHA

"Arise, my Luna." His voice rang in the air and sent shivers down my spine. I looked down at the ground, slowly rising to my feet while holding my breath.  "My name is Clair, Alpha Aeon." I answered respectfully, but I refused to look at him. Frustration rolled off of his aura before it changed into anger. I swallowed hard as bile threatened to rise from my throat.  "Have I done anything to despise you?" His hand snaked around my nape as he took one step closer. "My wolf is so close to marking you, Clair. I can assure you, it'll be painful. I'm the only one standing in the way. Submit, and we'll make it less painful." He moved his hand to my jaw, forcing me to look at him. "Look at me. You'll be mine! And I will make sure all others before me are forgotten." I closed my eyes, and the tears fell from my eyes. I was already losing this battle. I took a deep breath, ready to nod my head, when a ferocious growl marred the air, shaking the ground where I stood.  "I dare you to touch what's mine!" I snapped my eyes open, turning in the direction of the threat. He's here.  He came for me.  My Alpha came for me.  ¤¤¤¤¤ ALPHA JACOB GALHART of the Black Shadow Pack never wanted a mate. It is hard not to be completely engrossed with not just Jake & Claire but all the characters of the Black Shadow Pack. This is where it begins, but I am sure after you read it you'll want to continue on to The Beta is Mine Gavin & Alia's story. All Cass's books are worth a read or like me many times

My husband has a violent gene. Should I keep my unborn baby?

My husband has a violent gene. Should I keep my unborn baby?

My husband has a dangerous condition - Jacob's syndrome, a rare genetic disorder where men carry an extra Y chromosome (XYY). But it's not just the genetics - he has an uncontrollable rage that turns him into a monster. It all started when I saved his life. After that, he became obsessed with me, relentlessly pursuing me for three years. He deliberately ran his car into my childhood sweetheart, leaving him permanently disabled. Then he threatened to kill my entire family unless I married him. For seven years after our marriage, his controlling behavior became pathological. He even had a tracking chip implanted in my body and completely controlled my freedom. Yet at the same time, he showered me with endless love and catered to my every wish. When my mother-in-law pointed her finger at me while speaking, he snapped it without hesitation. When my sister-in-law's child disturbed my afternoon nap, he threw them both out of the house and severed all family ties. I refused to have a child, terrified of what darkness might be passed down, so he invested his entire fortune into developing cutting-edge genetic screening technology, making it possible for me to conceive a healthy baby. But on the very day I discovered I was pregnant... My mother-in-law stormed into our home with a group of people, accusing me of having an affair and carrying another man's child. They beat me until I lost the baby. As I lay there barely clinging to life, my husband finally arrived. My mother-in-law thrust a doctored video in his face and said, "Troy! Your wife had an affair and got pregnant with another man's child. Look, here's the proof!"

I CAN'T SAY I DO WITHOUT YOU

I CAN'T SAY I DO WITHOUT YOU

Maria Gemma Mendoza was no ordinary student. Brilliant, disciplined, and admired, she rose to become the student head of Amarillo University. Yet her world collapsed when whispers spread that her father, Edward Mendoza, had embezzled funds from a powerful corporation. The scandal stained her reputation, and the once-proud halls of Amarillo turned hostile, its pupils eager to tarnish her name. Fate intervened in the most unexpected way. In a chance encounter, Gemma discovered that her disgraced father was not only innocent but had once been the King’s closest confidant. Moved by loyalty and justice, the King vowed to help Gemma restore her father’s honor and reclaim all that had been unjustly taken. But his promise came with a condition: Gemma must serve as the personal maid to the chosen heir, Prince Augustus Cynfael Clemente—the enigmatic, unknown prince destined for the throne. To fulfill this pact, the King admitted Gemma into Borstal International School, an elite academy reserved exclusively for boys. Her arrival shocked the institution; she was the lone female among its ranks. Yet her presence in Prince Augustus’s life ignited fury rather than acceptance. To him, Gemma was an intrusion, a reminder of obligations he despised. He resolved to drive her away, believing cruelty and torment would be the surest weapons. But torment has a way of unraveling into something unexpected. Hatred gave way to reluctant care, and care began to stir emotions Augustus had long buried. As Gemma endured his wrath, she also awakened his heart. Their story became one of dangerous contradictions—of pain entwined with tenderness, of duty colliding with desire. Will Prince Augustus defy the King’s sacred decree for love? And when the moment comes, can Gemma say I do to a man who was never meant to be hers?

Frequently Asked Questions

Honestly, I'm kind of sick of the 'Edward and Jacob realize they're in love with each other instead of Bella' plots. They've been done to death. The ones that grab me now are the ones where Bella dies early on, maybe in the newborn war, and Edward and Jacob are forced into this decades-long, bitter co-parenting arrangement for Renesmee. It's not romantic at all at first—it's pure resentment and duty, but over like, a century, that shared purpose and grief turns into something else. They're not rivals anymore; they're the only two beings who really remember her. The slow shift from loathing to a deep, quiet understanding hits harder than any instant-enemies-to-lovers trope.

There's this one story, 'The Care and Keeping of Immortal Children,' that does this so well. It's less about passion and more about the sheer weight of time and the weird family they build. By the end, them getting together feels less like a ship and more like an inevitable geological event.
