Red Velvet & Anemones (Pagosa Cliff, Book One)

Red Velvet & Anemones (Pagosa Cliff, Book One)

“I love you, Collie-flower.” “I love you, Corn-cob.” She grinned and teased. He chuckled at their childhood nicknames. Colleen smiled triumphantly as Cornell headed out to where the valets had parked the cars; his valet was waiting especially for him. * * * Edgar had been dodging Heather for the last hour, especially after Heith had commented that the cake looked like a rip-off from one of Milli’s designs but tasted like cardboard. It irked Edgar that his cousin knew more about his wife... ex-wife than he did. He was drunk, angry, and he was going home. Most of all, he was tired of the constant bickering with Heith; the little digs like barbs reminded Edgar of the time he had been thrown fro

Mary Redferne

Mary Redferne

Mary Redferne Judith, my best friend, sat beside me on the couch, with my mother and sister opposite us, as we were presented with a selection of wedding dresses, each one simpler than the last. It was evident these dresses were deliberately chosen, designed to ensure I didn't outshine my sister Clara on her wedding day. Mr. McKinnon had made it clear that his son’s wedding needed to be the talk of the season. Clara expressed her disappointment directly, saying, "Mary, these dresses are so plain. I thought your wedding dress would be more... special. This is something you wouldn’t even wear."

My Wife, the Iron Lady

My Wife, the Iron Lady

There was a hint of disdain in Catherine’s eyes as she said, “Eden Griffith, you may not have received upper-class education, but you should have at least been taught basic courtesy. Do you not know that you have to greet your elders?” “What kind of courtesy do you expect from someone who has never received an education from her mother and was raised by a dying grandmother on the outskirts?” Daliah Hunt, Edison's second daughter, spoke. Her words were toxic. Eden looked up slightly, an icy glint appearing in her eyes with her hands still in her pockets. Despite her figure looking so frail that a breeze could topple her, an invisible but powerful aura seemed to emit from her. Dahlia was stunn

Besides it’s not like she planned going here from the very start. “She’s wonderful wasn’t she? She really pulled the audience in.” Ms. Finnegan complimented and Catherine thought that this instructor had forgotten the she had heard all the nonsense Ms. Finnegan spouted at Lyra. “Sure, it didn’t seem you liked her during your class.” Catherine said unamused and Ms. Finnegan nervously laugh at Catherine’s comment. Catherine was sure that Ms. Finnegan is trying to be all sweet and all because her mother is a renowned Prima Ballerina and not only that but her mother has a lot of connection.

I said to Kiran as he helped me to my feet and I touched my chest. “Sorry, but you were really dead there for a minute or two,” he said to me. “Yeah I was with Hel,” I said to him. “Hel? You call him Hel?” Kiran asked. “Her, Hel’s a woman,” I said to him. “I’ve been to Helheim too many times to count on both hands and Death is a man,” he said to me. “Maybe Hel is Death’s wife,” I said to him. “Death’s a bastard,” he said to me.

The Jewel of Your Love

The Jewel of Your Love

"You are the luckiest thing that has ever happened to me in life." … When Agatha heard her call being rejected once more, she was furious. "Great! Edith has become so brazen now. How dare she hang up on me?" Sitting next to Agatha, Heidi patted her back. "I never thought that Edith would turn out like this after leaving the family. None of the women in the Carrington family have ever shown themselves in public like this." Chelsea couldn't help but chime in, "I think Aunt Edith is amazing. Didn't you see? The clothes Aunt Edith made looked great on all of the models."

A Mate to Howl For

A Mate to Howl For

"Edgar, when I sent you out of the room, I meant for you to follow Ivory." Cullen sounded angry at his new Theta. Edgar had been his personal assistant for a little over a month. "Do you know where she is?" He asked in a calm voice. "Alpha Cullen," Edgar said, quickly. "I did follow her. She was headed to her cabin. I didn't know she was going to run. And no, no one has seen her. I contacted Kyle, and he was checking the cameras around the compound." He took a breath. "And Aaron and Dominic are already tracking her."

My Fabulous Girl Boss

He was young and he seemed to have a successful career. “Your legs… They recovered?” Cullen asked, his voice thick with disbelief. Yulene nodded and answered, “Yeah. What brings you here today?” Cullen replied with a smile, “I’m here to entertain my client. We just parted ways not long ago. Since we have not seen each other in so long, would you care to join me for a cup of tea?” “Let's do it some other time. I have something else to do tonight.” Cullen was Yulene’s coursemate. Charm Mauring
I love this book so far and I can’t stop reading it. In addition, it made me continuously unlock every chapter because the story isn’t dragging. Most of the time I skip few chapters because the story is predictable but not this book. The grammar is okay so it’s not disturbing to read.
