Ignite me (A collection of Short Stories)
Grabbing a fluffy towel from the bathroom, I slip downstairs barefoot, the cool floor sending shivers up my legs.
I pause at the sliding glass doors, peering out into the backyard. The pool glows like a sapphire under the submerged lights. Beyond it, there's a beautiful garden—manicured hedges, blooming jasmine vines climbing the fence. The moon shines low, half full, and stars are beginning to prick the darkening sky. The evening is perfect, serene. I slide the door open, and the cool breeze hits me at once, like a whisper, raising goosebumps all over my arms and thighs.
