So I make an appointment with Patricia Chen—the lawyer Lila's coworker recommended. "She eats men like Julian for breakfast," Lila assured me.
Patricia's office is expensive-looking. Glass and steel, modern art on the walls. I feel small and out of place in my borrowed clothes.
"Mrs. Voss." Patricia is fiftyish, sharp-eyed, impeccably dressed. "Please, sit."
