He still had his leather vest on, looking completely out of place in such a rich setting. I froze. I looked at Alaric, then at Silas, then at Killian. My head started to spin. "What... what is this?" I whispered, my voice cracking. "Why are you all here together?" Alaric stepped forward, standing between me and the other two. "Elena, I told you I would explain everything. These are my brothers. Silas and Killian Blackwood." I felt the blood drain from my face. I stepped back, my heels clicking sharply on the floor. "Brothers? You’re brothers?"

Because tell me why grown-up adults are arguing like kids. “Oh, Mr. Nicholas Hale,” Elena started, leaning forward, a slow smile forming on her lips, “you gonna have to put up with our madness.” Damn. This girl. “Just call me Nick.” I replied, and she hummed. “My sister is a lot to put up with; just pray to the goddess she doesn't drive us crazy.” Ambrose chuckled. Elena shot him a hard glare. “Guys!”

And she had spoken with confidence behind her words, like she already knew I was not going to say no, and annoyingly, my sense of intrigue got the better of me. “Fine,” I nodded, Her grin widened triumphantly. The evening air was cool and quiet. The rays of the moon spread softly across the massive ground while distant pack houses glowed warmly in the darkness. For a few moments as we walked down a large meadow road, neither of us spoke. Then Elena glanced sideways at me. “First of all, I’m going to keep up my end of the bargain,” She started, “My name is Elena. That’s true. What I didn’t tell you, though, is that I am Blade’s sister, and that makes me Damien’s cousin.”

I looked like the woman I’d always wanted to become. Not the girl struggling to pay her father’s debts. Not the masked dancer hiding behind stage lights. And definitely not Jack’s discarded girlfriend. But a woman with a bright destination. I quickly pushed the thought away when I heard my name “Elena.” Damien’s voice came from outside. “Are you done, or are you still being a jerk?” I looked at the mirror and wondered why I was even being stubborn about the outfits. A few seconds passed without me saying anything. “How long does it take to try on one dress?” he continued.

Once Dexter was gone, Elena immediately wiped the smile off her face as she fixed her gaze on the person lying in the hospital bed. Angela was beginning to regret letting her in. "Do you have something to say or not?" Angela asked impatiently. "If not, scram." Elena's anger flared, and she sneered coldly. "Angela, it's bad enough that you're shameless, but how can you not even keep your own brother in check and let him run wild out there?" Angela's face stiffened. "What did you say?" "This is my cousin. That person next to her is your brother, isn't he?" Elena tossed her phone in front of Angela.

"My brother and I were so close and he was always assisting me in my workshop. He volunteered to assist me and the experiment I carried out on him was totally curable. I designed a sickness-" "Hayley it's alright," Lance said, impatiently. "You don't have to defend yourself to me. I know you will never intentionally hurt someone. And I believe you must've had it all figured out before injecting your brother with anything." "Exactly!" I said, shooting Elena a duh look. "Lance over there," Elena said. "I have spotted some vampires but they seem not to be heading the castle's way. They look like they are just out in the woods waiting for someone."

"Elena." She did not glance at the voice behind her. Crossing nearly on purpose, turning, she saw Dante in the doorway. Her brother. Alive. Fatal. Savage. He was older, tougher than she had recalled—his face etched with bitterness, his eyes shrouded with secrets. "You should be gone," he said, approaching her. "I could say the same to you," she said icily. "You were alive all these years. Working for Victor DeLuca. Why?"

“She won’t survive the semester.” I spun. Standing by the roses, her gown touching the grass, was Elara. Lucien’s sister. Her beauty was sharp, perfect, frightening. Her eyes glowed with the same hunger as her brother’s, but cooler. “What?” My voice cracked. Elara smiled, the kind of smile that promised pain. “You think you can stand between wolves, dragons, and vampires without breaking? You’re wrong. You’ll be ashes before the year ends.” I forced my voice steady. “You don’t scare me.”

Richard's Pov "No, no no!!!! Alpha Darian, please wake." Elena cried bitterly once I dropped the lifeless body of my brother. "Please wake up, Alpha Darian. She kept on crying while pushing Darian's lifeless body, ignoring the consolation of the other she-wolves.

ALDRIC POV Elena suddenly froze as she stared at something but what was she staring at. I walked past Elara walking towards Elena to ask her what was wrong with her? And why she was standing frozen staring out into nothing. But when I got closer to Elena I saw she wasn't staring into thin air but she was staring at my brother, Adrian. “Sister-in-law, oh, I'm sorry,” he said chuckling, “I've just gotten used to calling you that, Elena.” He said with a smile but Elena's face was filled with fear or was it dread?
