Eleven And Mike Novels & Stories

] Mike: [I’m at the gate. Brandon: [You’re WHAT?!] Mike: [I brought Big H and Shea with me.] Brandon felt a spike of pure dread. [Why would you bring the kids? Don't be an idiot, Mike! Don't use Shea as a shield. Ethan will snap. The place is crawling with snipers you can't even see. If you move wrong, you’re dead.] Mike: [I’m touched you care. I started to say something; some excuse about being close friends but he held up a hand to stop me. "Don't," he said. "I’m not here to bust you. I’m here because I’ve been where you are." I blinked. "What?" "I played ten years in the pros," Mike said, his voice dropping low. "And for eight of those years, I had a teammate I would have died for. The world thought we were just brothers. We played along. We had the fake girlfriends, the practiced interviews, the whole thing."
