Brooke nodded, “I understand. April shouldn’t have to suffer a minute more. Why don’t I take a closer look, so we’re better prepared when the rest gets here.”
“Good idea.” I said as Brooke carefully walked over to the hatch. She wasn’t even half way there when an alarm came blaring through the forest and people came out from everywhere pointing their gun’s at Brooke.
“What do I do?” Brooke asked.
“Don’t fight them. They seemed to want us alive. I’ll get you out. I promise.” I felt like a coward, hiding while Brooke was being taken. But even I knew two wolves were no match for ten people with guns. I didn’t know if they held silver bullets or wolfsbane.
