“Fuck,” I muttered while Bear stood, stepping closer.
“You don’t get to bulldoze through this,” he said. “Not when someone else is being watched because of it.”
He reached behind me, hands quick and practiced as he loosened the ropes. The tension snapped away, blood rushing painfully back into my wrists. I flexed my fingers slowly, jaw set.
“This is the only time,” he said. “Next time, I won’t stop it at a chair.”
