Eclipse of the Dead
I scanned the room quickly, searching for anything that could give us the answers we needed.
“Here,” I muttered, grabbing a vial from one of the tables. The contents were dark, almost black. I could tell it was a sample of the mutated virus. This was what we needed to understand the changes that were taking place.
Just as I was about to seal the vial, I heard a loud crash behind me. I turned to see one of the infected stumbling into the room. It was slow at first, dragging its foot, but then it seemed to notice us. The creature’s eyes locked onto mine, and it let out a low, guttural growl.
