Emily Prentiss Dies Novels & Stories

"But here's the part that got my attention. He handled legal affairs for Eleanor Ashbourne Grant. Emily's mother." I felt something shift, quiet and immediate, the pieces of the last several days rearranging themselves into a different shape entirely, one I hadn't considered until this exact moment. Emily hadn't simply vanished for a morning to clear her head or escape a house full of strangers who still weren't sure what to call her. She'd gone looking for something connected to a woman who'd been dead for fifteen years, someone nobody in that family had mentioned by name since I'd known her. "Why was Emily meeting him?"

"Are you familiar with my impostor? the perpetrator of the theft of the Heart of Stone. Do you have any idea what became to her?" I grumbled and folded my arms as I noticed that the two persons in front of me were being awkwardly quiet. "Desiree Perri was burned to death by my husband....it must have been excruciating anguish for her, but thank heavens...She must have been in agony for little more than half an hour of her life, but even so... it was distressing." Emily’s lips tremble in fear, “Do you….Do you want to kill us?”

He stepped forward and looked at me with utter contempt. "She texted me before she died and said you were the reason. The fact that you always bullied her was bad enough, but then you married me and still refused to stop tormenting her." My chest tightened with rage. The accusation was utterly absurd. Emily and I had grown up in the same rundown orphanage. Since she was older and bigger than me, she spent every day tormenting me with a group of followers. How could I possibly be the one bullying her? In my past life, I only learned the truth about Emily's death from the Quirrel family housekeepers who handled her body. The cause of her death was a drug overdose at an underground party.

Emily's POV “She tripped and fell.” Link stood at the edge of my chamber, hands behind his back, posture razor-straight as always. But there was a glint in his eye—calculated calm, the kind only he could wear like second skin. “She was walking back from the infirmary alone,” he continued. “Fell down the slope near the west barracks. Hit her side on a rock. The medics said the internal bleeding was too much. She died before she could be saved. So did the child.”

My fists clenched against the glass as tears filled my eyes. Emma was pale, barely breathing, clinging to Victoria's wheelchair, pleading in agony through her weakened wolf's whimpers, "Mommy... Emma is so uncomfortable... Emma wants to see Daddy..." But Victoria didn't respond with comfort, instead glaring down at Emma with cold emerald eyes and hissing in a low voice, "Keep begging, Emma. If you can't make your father come to save you, then there's no point in fighting anymore!" The second video was from the medical chamber, showing Emma's small form lifeless on the white hospital bed, her golden eyes closed forever. Dr. Harrison Fletcher announced her death, with the time and cause matchi

All she could think about was the pain in her side and the fear that she might die. "Ethan," she gasped, clutching at her side. "I think I'm dying." Ethan's face turned pale, and he glanced over at her with a look of panic. "No, Emily," he said, his voice shaking. "You can't die. You're going to be okay." But Emily knew that she wasn't going to be okay. She could feel herself slipping away, the darkness closing in around her. As they drove towards the hospital, Emily felt herself slipping away. She knew that she was going to die, but she was at peace with it. She had fought for what she believed in, and she had found love amid danger.

Aydin replied. She stopped breathing and started looking at him. She felt that she must have heard something wrong, but as she looked at Aydin's face, she realized that he was serious. Her heart sank as if her life was about to end. "You must have said something wrong. Emily's grandmother must have died. She was also sick a few days back. How can Emily be dead? Yesterday was her birthday, and I took her away from me so she could live. Then how did she die?"

He also taught me basic gun handling techniques and survival tips," Emily replied. "That sounds wonderful," Death commented. "It was wonderful, Everything in my life was wonderful." Emily lets out a deep sigh. "I didn't realize it until now." She subtly frowned while looking at her own casket. The priest invited everyone to take a final peak at Emily's body inside the casket and bid their last farewells. Kendra approached the casket. Tears started falling from her eyes as she tightly closes them.

“This was… two days before her death.” “Yes.” Her voice trembled slightly. “She was planning to leave.” “That’s what it looks like.” Emily stared at the ticket like it might suddenly explain everything. “So she was pregnant… she was scared… and she was planning to leave.” She swallowed hard. “Then why did she die?” I didn’t answer immediately. Because the answer forming in my mind wasn’t something I could say lightly. Emily looked up at me again. “Adrian.” Her voice was quiet but determined. “You think someone stopped her.”

They were here to watch. Richard Hart was dead. And now, the question that lingered in the air, unspoken but loud, was…what happens next? I kept my eyes on Emily. She stood near the grand staircase, her posture rigid, her hands clasped together. The funeral had drained the color from her face, but there was still a fire in her eyes. A sharp, unyielding fire that dared anyone to challenge her. She wasn’t grieving like a daughter who lost a father. She was calculating.
