The fact that Jeremiah won't be here to see it brings tears to her eyes and as she looks into Adonis eye that were a mirror image of Jeremiahs, she can’t stop the tear that slide down her cheek as she whispers, “Yes, thank you.” Adonis looks at her and can see that she is anything but okay. POV EMMA BELLE The air around the pier didn't hum; it sighed. The Elder-Emma walked toward us, her feet silent on the black stone. She didn't carry the Void-Blade; she carried a simple staff made of weathered driftwood. When her eyes—amber, clear, and devoid of violet static—met mine, I felt a shock of recognition that nearly buckled my knees. It wasn't the "Mirror-Ideal" of the Architect; it was the Consequence.

Emma asked, waggling her eyebrows at him. Liam was confused at first, but then he understood what she meant. “Hey, don't be so dirty-minded,” Liam laughed. “I was talking about normal toys like this,” He said, raising the toy revolver in his hand. “You're the one who's being dirty-minded, I never said anything about vibrators or other sex toys,” Emma uttered and bit her bottom lip. Liam burst into a round of laughter, he was enjoying her mood change. He wished that they would be this happy every time.
