EMMA I spent more than five hours looking for work while pacing the streets of Pullman, but my efforts were in vain. With only my mother and one brother for support, I have been in this situation for the past five years. I'm Emma Shadwick, the first child of the Shadwick family, and since my father passed away from this cruel world a year ago, I've had to assist my mother by helping her take care of our family's necessities and paying for my brother's college education.

She said as she began to walk away. "I do know that Alex's parents were murdered" I said and she stopped on her tracks and then walked back to me. "Did Alex tell you? How much do you know?" Cause if William Sanders finds out about what you know, he'll kill you just like he killed both Alex's parents and my parents." Emma said and my jaw dropped.

“And I’d appreciate it if this stayed between us. Now, let me explain.” Emma plopped into a chair, gripping the edge of the table. “Okay. I’m listening.” Her mom sat across from her, folding her hands. “This started with my mother, your grandmother.” “Grandma Mel was a werewolf?” Emma blurted. Her mom shot her a look. “Emma, let me finish before you jump to conclusions.” “Sorry, sorry.” Emma mimed zipping her lips. “Grandma Mel came from a long line of werewolf hunters.”

Mom asks me. "Sorry, mom, she is a bit busy and promises to meet you very soon."Austin moves his head to avoid mom’s eye contact. Mom takes hold of my arm and asks me, "you find Emma? Is she still alive? I'm so worried that without our help, she would be in a very horrible condition." “Yeah. She’s studying at Nevermore, I met her a month ago.” Austin nods his head. “You tell me who needs murdered and it’s done. I know people in the mafia.” That elicited a smile from her. “Tell me,” he said. His eyes were gentle as he reached for her hands again. “Tell me so I can fix it.” “I went and saw my parents today.” Emma’s voice quavered and she couldn’t look him in the face. “I don’t know what they’d say if they knew what we were doing.” Jackson sighed and nodded his head. “I just... I don’t know...” Emma started to cry. She didn’t want to. She didn’t mean to cry, but the tears just poured out of her. She’d thought she’d gotten all the tears out at the cemetery, but yet here was a fresh batch.

Alexandra POV “I know when you and Enzo left for your getaway, I went MIA, but things were so difficult with my parents. Mom still won’t talk to me, and I think Dad’s banned from talking to me,” Emmie explained. As the party continued, it got colder. Unfortunately for me, no amount of dancing could warm me up, so Emmie and I retreated into the house. “I understand. You needed space.” “I needed to snoop and come up with the truth!”

OLEANDER'S POV I walked into the office with purpose with my children beside me. My eyes darted to my so-called family. My mother looked impatient and my father kept sighing. My uncles kept checking their phones. Emma was sitting between my parents. At least he was not present. I wasn't ready to see him yet. “I am sorry I'm late.” I said and they all turned to look at me. I watched as their faces dropped when they noticed my children. It was obvious who the children belonged to. Jason was a carbon copy of his father.

“See you around, Amanda.” I didn’t respond, I stead I stared at him blankly and balled my hands into fists so tightly that my knuckles turned white. He turned back to the door and pushed it open before walking inside. And then I heard it. “Dad.” I froze, my mind reeling. Dad? Ryan had called Damien Cladwell Dad?
