Then I commented underneath it. "Thanks for the concern, everyone. We've broken up. Please don't bother me about this."

Cyrus borrowed someone’s phone to text me, saying he and Serena were both being deported back home. “Can you come back and take care of me?” His voice sounded extremely weak in the voice message. However, I did not feel a shred of pity, retorting mercilessly to cut his last strand of hope. “Face it, I don’t love you anymore. Now you’re like a turd in the latrine to me, dirty and foul. “Perhaps you were important to me once, but now I’m too disgusted to even look at you. Do you understand me now?”

Since there are so many different things going on at the same time, I wrote the next several chapters out and am now trying to tie them together in the most logical order. Thanks for your understanding and patience as I wrap up this book. Endings are the hardest when writing a book because you have to tie everything back together and made sure everything and everyone has closure. 12 chapters left in this book, and two more chapters will be coming today.

She finished her book on a Wednesday evening. Page four twelve. The last line. She sat with it for a moment—the specific quality of a very good book's ending, which was not a conclusion but an arrival. The thing the book had been about had arrived at what it always was. That was the whole of it. She set it on the side table. Picked up the leather bookmark. Held it.

“Didn’t it though? Today the heroes won. One small victory in the war on heartless, fake cunts. The ultimate justice will be ours in the end l. Even if it’s by one small victory at a time.” Amber nodded. There was more than one way to bring down an empire. Often things crumbled piece by piece, one crack at a time, until they toppled entirely. Amber was more than ready to grab her hammer and keep chipping away for as long as it fucking took…

“Then today is a good start. She glanced at the book in his hands. “Are you actually reading, or are you just holding it for dramatic effect?” Atlas flipped the book closed, revealing the title. The Art of Letting Go. Lily snorted. “Did you pick that on purpose?” “Fate,” Atlas said with a grin. Lily shook her head, but she couldn’t deny the irony. Maybe it was fate. Maybe she was meant to be here, right now, learning how to let go. A comfortable silence settled between them as she sipped her coffee. She wasn’t sure how long they sat there, lost in the quiet, but for the first time in a long time, she wasn’t in a rush to be anywhere else.

Hurray! Book one has finally ended and I am so excited. However, I am sorry to break your heart about the suspense. I know I left you hanging, but you can still find out what happened in BOOK TWO titled HEART OF THE HEARTLESS. It will come soon, and I will announce the date soon. For now, I need to focus and write my final exams and I promise you it's going to get better in book two. However, I did not end BOOK ONE because of the exams or school. This is how I wanted to end it to make up for a better BOOK TWO.
