I want to eat some dessert” I said to Enzo. I asked, struggling to comprehend the situation. The maid sighed, her eyes filled with sadness. "Enzo didn't choose this life, ma'am. It was thrust upon him. He was born into a Mafia family and it's all he has ever known. But I can assure you, he would do anything to keep you and Sofia safe. His priority is always protecting his loved ones." Carlo turned to him, "Right now? With your room looking like this?" Enzo paused for a moment as he looked around, seeing the mess he made these pass couple of days. He knew that calling the king right now, with his room in this state, would only earn him an earful instead of a praise. "You're right." Enzo said as he smiled, "Call the maids and have them clean this." Carlo nodded all too enthusiastically, hearing that Enzo initiated to clean the mess in his room after days of trying to do so. "Yes! Right away!"

Luca is either the worst at starting an explanation or has plans on giving me a heart attack because his first statement threw me off balance so much that I could have crumpled to the ground if only it registered at first. “Enzo works for me, Nazlynn,” Luca said. I fixed my gaze on him. Then I barked out a sarcastic laughter. “Was that your attempt at comic relief?
