She hated to see him so broken but her hardened heart could not be changed. She planted her lips on his locking it in a kiss and Xavier kissed her back. Xavier breaks the kiss when he hears the jerky movement coming from the bed. He stared at his mother whose eyes were widened in freight. She kept on pointing frantically at Diana as if trying to pass a message to her son. Disna gazed at the woman lying on the bed before her eyes widened in recognition. She was the woman who had been standing outside the pack house the time her parents were killed.

We hear a thud and then Alpha Leonardo yelling for Mehira as she screeches in pain. We rush from the room, Jael and Demetrius beating the wolves up to the top floor. Mehira is on the floor, staring up at the ceiling, unseeing as she pants much, much too quickly. It’s a sign that she’s in terrible pain. “What happened?” I ask, as I drop to the floor. Then I smell it. Mandrake. “Stay back,” I command, the vampires stopping in their tracks. “Drake, what is it?” Leana asks. I can see that she wants to help, but she’s listening to me and staying back, at least for now.

She grinned at me, and I stared at her, wondering how many 'important bits' there were in a superhero action movie. She laughed softly as Lucas started it again, turning the volume up a little, "Don't worry, you'll see," she said, before falling quiet again. I watched with a little more curiosity this time, and Luca paused it a while later, as Maggie, with some helpers, brought up plates loaded with food and jugs of drink. Jess handed me a whole plate of loaded nachos, "Try these, Maggie makes the best!" she said, and I did, my eyes going wide as the flavours filled my mouth.

Freya said. "So if I'm not wrong, your lame plan is to get the Alpha to apologize" Maya spoke from behind. She had been listening to the conversation while sorting some dresses. "How about you keep your thoughts to yourself?" Rhoda snickered. "Whatever, I guess I'll be seeing dragons soon " Maya shrugged and Valentine whipped her head around. "Dragons? I thought they vanished like a thousand years ago" Valentine said with surprise. "Shit, I forgot the dictionary I gave you omitted the word sarcasm" Maya snorted and the actual meaning of her words clicked. She was comparing his apology to seeing dragons, both highly impossible.

I got irritated by his question, "Do you think I will lie about something so big?" Beta Zack said, "No you will not. But you are sure now. I am happy for you, Alpha. I don't like that wicked bitch Sara. She is a total fake." I nodded at him. I know nobody liked her but I trusted the witch clan and she has been with me for a long time. Also, I thought she would be my wife. Beta Zack reminded me, "Do you remember in your mother's letter she also mentioned the same thing? On your 30th birthday, you will meet your mate. So that is true for sure."

I say. “Oh yes! Marlene informed me yesterday, I’ll call Nick over, just one sec.” She says more cheerfully than before. She picks up the phone that sits on the desk to call Nick. “He’ll be right out.” She informs me. “Okay, thanks,” I say appreciatively. Oh, fuck…me… The man who walks through the hall is a mix between Chase and X. Please don’t be Nick, please don’t be Nick. “Hey I’m Nick,” the man says with a smooth voice.

Ryan puts his hand around me too, it felt a little uncomfortable but I don't say anything. Thirty minutes into the movie, Noah says something to Zack and then he stands up and leaves with Jessica. Before he leaves I make sure he sees Ryan's arm around me, he gives me death stares and Jessica waves at me before they leave. Immediately after the movie ended, Ryan and I leave to avoid running into Zack and Nancy. We drive home, he parks in the driveway before asking. "Did you enjoy yourself today? I mean I hope I was great company." "Yeah I had fun, the movie was nice and the Twitter reviews I saw were garbage." I say with a smile.
