Pucking the Captain
I hit accept, my thumb hovering over the screen, and the image loaded.
It was a photo of Brody. But it wasn't the polaroid from my pocket.
This was a high-definition, digital photo taken from *inside* his holding cell at the precinct.
Brody was sitting on the metal bench, his head in his hands, looking utterly defeated. The timestamp in the corner of the photo was from exactly three minutes ago.
My breath hitched, the air completely vanishing from my lungs as a second message popped up on the screen from an unknown number.
