"No. But could I trouble you for a glass of water? I believe our breeder is thirsty." Rose turns away from the bed and walks around to the other side of the motel room. She heads out of the room with the key in her hand, shutting it snugly closed behind her and leaving me and the older woman alone together. She gently pulls my sheets back up over my body, tucking me in like a grandmother would their precious grandchild. It strikes me as so odd, considering she hardly knows me. "I'm sorry to meet like this," she says, smiling again. The wrinkles in her face deepen as she does so. "I'm Elder Eris."

I spin around to find a woman I haven't seen before coming around from the side of the house. She is tall and thin. Jet black hair and milky white skin in stark contrast. Her eyes are a fiery red which is the only difference from her brother. She looks just like Thanatos. “Eris.”

"Him." Immediately, Erik steps out. "Jeez man……That's crazy-scary." Chelsea mutters behind Asher. "Tell me about it." I whisper as Erik gives me a creepy smirk while continuously walking to us. "Hello, my little Iris. It's a pleasure meeting you again." "I'm afraid the feeling is not mutual…..Again," I retort sarcastically. He grins before clapping his hands together. "You're here because I need you. You're a...hmmm… you could say a pawn in my little game."

Eris lowered his head as he approached the terrified faces. “We don’t need both.” Eris’ deep voice growled out. It was the first time he’d spoken since Rowan came to and he didn’t sound like himself. His voice sounded sluggish, almost like he was drunk. As he took a step forward rowan finally recognized the two faces. It was Elly and her cousin. Mustering all the strength he could, he fought against the wall in his mind keeping him and Eris separate. If he could just get him to shift back he knew Eris would snap out of it. Eris took another step forward.

Tessera turned and hurried out like a child that had just been scolded, her steps fast, her head slightly lowered. I just stopped, clutching the fabric of my useless, beautiful dress, and stared up at the platform.
