He was sure of this when he had seen the appearance of the dining table, and he'd only taken her out to eat in order to confirm his doubts.

Whatever he was up to, I supposed I was close to finding out now. "Why… " Estera said then paused. I could almost see through her beautiful eyes how her brain started to put all the puzzles together, then she swallowed and her eyes darkened with sadness. "Why can't you just say your wife, Evan? I'm aware you are married. I'm aware you married the woman your father wanted you to marry –- the one I almost got fucked for!" I winced at her last statement. I don’t think I could ever be comfortable hearing that said aloud. I swallowed and replied, "Because, my love, we both know she is not my wife," I said and I watched her eyes widen with shock and then her lips trembled.

She said proudly. "But I want to call him my husband because I love him! I want to call him my husband because he loves me! I want to be married to him, because what we have is real, not because I want to hold on to a title... He told me to leave! He kicked me out of my house, our house, a place we were supposed to have our family. Now he has in there another woman. He is going to raise his family with her!" I said shaking my head because what she said just didn't make sense to me right now.

Getting that news, Clyde was so devastated, that he ended spending his wedding night in my bed instead. And from that moment on, I made sure the distance between them only grew. I fed his indifference, carefully widening the crack in their marriage until it became something unfixable. He turned colder and she grew quieter blaming herself for her failed marriage.
