Chelsea noted. "It's because of the curse," Bryan replied. "What is this curse called?" Chelsea asked. Bryan explained it was the Midnight Curse, which kills the afflicted and their relatives within an hour if not treated. And if the curse is intense, even stabilization won't help. I sat on the ground, pained, feeling my heart slow and my senses dull. I couldn't make sense of what was happening around me. Chelsea's worried voice reached me; she was giving instructions to Belle and Bryan. I fought the pain, trying to draw the curse into myself so it wouldn't harm Flora or pass to Ivan. I couldn't let that happen.

He does not like fighting with his brothers. “Fine, how about this, Lucifer? I have just been notified there is a curse set upon you. There always has been, and she is the one to make that curse happen.” Lucifer’s eyes flash up, looking at Belial. “What curse?
