Diego turned, startled to see Javier Morales standing there, his face devoid of its usual arrogance. “I…” He hesitated for a heartbeat, weighing the social suicide of the admission, before deciding the old rules didn't apply anymore. “Yeah, I’m fairly certain I do,” he confessed. It felt like one final weight being lifted.
Javier gave a slow, solemn nod. “Then Ethan’s right. You have to hunt for him.”
“Understood,” Diego said, genuinely stunned by the lack of judgment from the pack. “Thanks, Javi. I will.”
