The murders were escalating, and the killer had attacked Elena in her own apartment. Nobody knew who was being watched... or why. The knock came again but this time accompanied by a voice, a woman's voice. "Hello?" Everyone looked toward the door. Even Elena stepped back into the room. "I think I have the wrong apartment..." The voice sounded young. Maybe twenty-five, twenty-six but nobody recognized it.

"What? Caleb isn't dead?" Serena grabbed Ethan's sleeve. "Stop losing it and come with me!" "I'm not leaving! I need to stay. I still have a chance to make this right." "You've lost it. Fine. If you won't go, I will." But before he could take a step, Ethan looked down slowly. A knife was buried in his chest. "Wh-Why?" "Because you deserve to die. If it weren't for you, I never would have lost him. And now this is my chance to make things right. If I kill you, he'll forgive me."

I just laid on the ground for a few minutes as I watched Riley snap my fathers neck. No matter how bad my back is killing me and I feel somewhat numb I stood to my feet. Ethan was running towards us. I just started running and held out my hand as my nails sank into his abdomen. He screams and his skin looks like it’s smoking as he falls to his knees groaning in pain. That only last a few minutes before Riley grabs his neck and raises him up. “You’ll pay just like your father did. He learned not fuck with what was mine,” Said Riley and his claws tore Ethan’s throat out.

Olivia’s struggling weakened until she could barely move. Using the last of her strength, she forced out one final sentence. “Ethan… are you really going to kill me here? There are people everywhere. She said with a smile. "Where's Ethan?" She asked and Chelsea sighed. "He actually went to the police station. He reported his Dad!" She said and Melanie smiled. "That's what I wanted to do. Cora did not answer. Just kept breathing with mechanical regularity. Ethan appeared in the doorway. "We need to talk. Conference room. Now." Ryan followed his brothers to the small conference room the hospital had given them access to. Ethan closed the door and turned to face them both. "Whoever did this is serious," Ethan said. "They murdered a dozen people just to eliminate one witness. That level of violence, that disregard for human life, it tells us we are dealing with someone extremely dangerous."

He looked at me and I saw how obviously I had hurt him. "You like him?" he asked with a desperate hope in his eye for me to say no. I nodded slowly. "Yeah, I do." He sucked in some air. "He's a killer. He's evil," Ethan broached this topic more calmly, clearly hoping to appeal to my sense of reason. "Haven't you ever thought about how many people he's killed?"
