It was the first full moon I spent with the Tidal Waves Pack. The members of the pack had started bonfires by the beach, and the young werewolves were dancing around the flames. The usually silent Ethan suddenly pulled out a guitar. He wore a simple flax tunic, his fingers dancing across the strings. Amid the music and the crashing waves, he seemed especially handsome and romantic. Lena handed me a glass of honey wine and sat next to me. “Surprising, isn’t it? Ethan isn’t as boring as his work makes him seem. He can be very romantic once he meets the right person.”

Ethan whispered. I looked up and nodded. "Yes, why not?" His gaze shifted downwards and that's when I realized I was gripping his arm. "Sorry." I released it.. It felt like we were inside a giant globe.Al that was missing was the snow. But instead of snow, we had golden lights. "Ethan Wilder." A man in a white tuxedo, a gruff voice and white hair and beard stopped in front of us, leaning on a brown cane and a steel wolf head. He had a glass in his hand.

“Let me see His Highness.” The door opened softly, and Harrison quickly stepped inside, moving to Ethan’s bedside. Ethan lay there, his eyes closed, his face gaunt but still exuding an ethereal beauty, like a celestial being in a deep slumber. Unable to resist, Harrison gently slipped his hand under the blanket, holding Ethan’s icy hand. The soft skin, cold as ice, made Harrison’s heart ache. Sensing the warmth from Harrison’s hand, Ethan slowly opened his eyes. His gaze met Harrison’s, filled with worry and genuine affection. Seeing the concern in Harrison’s eyes, Ethan managed a faint smile.

I'm just disgusted by his behavior! "Hey, Jacob! Don't you plan to stop my best friend huh!!" Ethan's face was obviously disgusted now. [Oh? Hey... Heaven's best friend huh?? Is that you!!? You are already dating, aren't you? You really do like Heaven from the start, I'm right! Are you two f*cking sleeping next to each other?!] I feel like I want to punch him in the mouth for insulting us. "You're drunk, it's better to sleep it off and wake up to the fact that Heaven doesn't want you anymore." Ethan calmly said to him.

“If the movie’s terrible, we make fun of it. If it’s decent, we enjoy it. Either way, you get a couple hours off.” The lights dimmed fully a moment later. Ethan turned his eyes to the screen, the simple distraction already pulling him in further than he expected. For a stretch the day at the rink faded, replaced by the easy dark of the theater and the sound of the film beginning. Midway through the second act Ethan’s phone vibrated in his pocket. He shifted, pulled it out just enough to see the screen, and angled it away from the light of the film. An unknown number. ‘You don’t know what really happened between Jax and Marcus.’

My wolf whined inside my chest, confused and angry that I was mad at her. She thought she was protecting the pack. That wasn’t protection. That was violence. I wanted to dig a hole and never come out. I didn’t know how long I sat there. Long enough for the moon to climb higher and pull at my skin like fingers. Long enough for tears to dry cold on my cheeks. Boots crunched on pine needles behind me. I knew who it was before he spoke. Ethan always smelled like winter air and that stupid expensive cologne his dad made him wear for photoshoots.

A thin layer of mist coats the loch, and the heather and fern are dull in the grey light. Ahead, there are a few Wolves making their way back through the castle walls, laughing and joking with one another. They’re all as naked as Ethan. “Goddess!” I turn my head, only to be confronted with Ethan’s hard chest. My pulse beats a little faster, warmth blooming in my lower stomach. His grip on me almost imperceptibly tightens. “You Wolves really have no modesty, do you?” Ethan chuckles. “It’s only natural.”

“That’s where we’re at with the pack. Constantly putting out fires. I’ll see you later, Luna.” He gives me a kiss on the forehead and Ethan a nod he doesn’t deserve before ducking out the front door and pulling it shut behind him. I wish the triplets would be nicer to Axel, but I’m not sure what I can do about it. I already told them, and they didn’t listen. Ethan saunters toward me, scoops me up off the barstool, tosses me over his shoulder, and heads for the living room. He flops onto the couch with me and pulls me into his lap. The scent of musk pouring off him makes me instantly aroused. He nibbles at my neck, his scratchy beard tickling my skin. “So, beautiful… When do you go into heat?

It was Adam, "Ethan, Beta Hanson is awake. You need to come quickly." At Adam's words, Ethan still unsatisfied erection disappeared. He thew his shirt back on and followed Adam into another room where Beta Hanson rested. He looked terrible but better than he had earlier. He sat up slightly when he saw Ethan. "Ethan, your father, it's a trap.", he said weakly. "I'm too late. I'm sorry, there's hundreds of them Ethan. They're not interested in peace. They're going to torture and kill him on the order of Alpha Conway."

I stand up and wipe the sand off of my back side as well. “Who are you?” The girl turns her attention to me peeling herself off of Ethan. “Hey. I’m Whitney. Who are you?” “I’m Ethans fiance. Why are you here?” I look at Ethan who was about to speak but I speak before he does. “I just wandered here. I didn’t know this was private property. He had just come out here telling me I needed to leave. I’m going to go grab my shoes and get out of here. I’m sorry again. This won’t happen again.”
