Ever After Awaits Novels & Stories

Three days had passed since the meeting in the park and Vienna, along with other house-staff, was sputtering around the mansion as she took care of all the arrangements for the diner party. Ever since the meeting it seemed like entire house was filled with a joyous halo. Schuyler could be found smiling and humming all around the house. He had talked to Olliver a couple of times on phone and it seemed like nothing could bring his spirits down now.

It was complete heaven. "We did it, Dimitri." "We did what, Roza?" He sounded curious and slightly confused. I lay my head against his chest and closed my eyes, chuckling. "We got our happily ever after." ***** We're officially finished with this story, everybody! Once again, I'd like to thank the people who read, reviewed, followed, and favorited Happily Ever After. I ordered politely. The waiter bowed to me as he agreed, and he walked away. "Take it home? You would rather not eat it here anymore?" he queried. "Yeah. I changed my mind," I said blankly, and I looked at my phone. What is this? This is not my phone. Oh, right. He gave me a new phone. Before I do anything here, I need to check it first, and he might put something in here that I don't know. I go first to the setting to see if he cloned this phone or what. So I would know what I am going to do with it.

My sister had sharp eyes and found the letter under the old pillow. Dad wiped away his tears and unfolded the paper with trembling hands. "Mom, Dad, and Heidi. By the time you see this letter, the countdown should have ended. I'm so happy I get to live with all of you. Thank you for your hard work in the last 18 years. I hope we can still be a family in my next life! Oh, right, use the money in the piggy bank to buy a toy for Heidi! Consider it an early birthday gift."

I answered with a hello, and the voice on the other end of the line scorched my hand a second later. "Rowena." The voice on the phone overlapped with a voice behind me. My whole body went rigid, and I turned around robotically. Ewan stood at the end of the hallway with his back to the light. He held his phone in one hand and a paternity test report in the other.

That night, after calmly arranging his affairs, I took sleeping pills and lay down next to him. “I’ll be with you soon.” When I opened my eyes again, there was a blinding white light. “Are you okay?” I shot upright and realized I was leaning over my desk. The girl next to me was wiping tears from her cheeks, choking on her sobs. “Emma just went off with Callum. Ugh, finally, love triumphs over everything.” My eyes widened as I looked down at the novel in front of me. It was open to the chapter titled “Please Wait for Me.” The illustration showed him holding my hand, standing by the sea, supporting each other through life.

Lucas' expression remained cold and indifferent as he replied, "Who said I was waiting for her?" Aaron popped a grape into his mouth and said, "Fine, you're not waiting. I'll wait, okay?" Lucas shot him a frosty look. Aaron continued, "I'm waiting to see what gift she brought." Only then did Lucas' expression soften slightly. However, as time passed, and everyone else had already arrived, Aveline was still nowhere to be seen. Feeling bored, Aaron idly scrolled through his phone. When he saw a photo forwarded in the group chat, his eyes widened in shock. He glanced at Lucas, then back at the photo, and suddenly felt uneasy.

She looked at the screen. Unknown number. Her brows furrowed slightly. A strange feeling crept into her chest. Not fear. Not quite. But something close. She opened the message. And read. "I’m still waiting for you after your graduation… as planned." Ava froze. Her fingers tightened slightly around the phone. Her heart skipped. Because she knew. Instantly. Exactly who it was from. No name. No explanation. But she knew. Her lips parted slightly. Then slowly, it curved into a small smile.
