Tears flooded her eyes — pure, overwhelming, golden.
“Yes,” she whispered, the word trembling from her lips.
“Yes, Rafael, yes.”
He slid the ring onto her shaking finger, and then — before she could collapse — he surged up, wrapping her in his arms.
She laughed through her tears, burying her face in his chest as he lifted her clean off the ground, holding her tight like he never intended to let go.
