The Wife Who Returned
"You make me want to write sonnets. Bad ones, probably."
"Try me," I teased, giggling as we swayed.
"Alright." He cleared his throat dramatically. "Roses are red, violets are blue, you're stunning in silver, and I love you."
I burst out laughing, drawing stares. "That's awful! But… sweet. Keep going."
He whispered more silly rhymes about my eyes, my laugh, until I was giggling uncontrollably, cheeks flushed. "You're ridiculous," I said, but my heart swelled.
