Tears filled her eyes as she tried to take them in. Aidan rested his hands helplessly on the pillar in front of him. "This isn't just about being the fairy mother, if...if" Aidan stammered. "If the wolves were to find out we'd be damned," Peri cut in. Both Peri and her advisor Aidan were worried and they assured themselves to just let it be a secret as they appoint her youngest daughter, Saria, as the Fairy mother. "Mother!" A young fairy was approaching. Saria was a fine young fairy with eyes like sunlight and hair blonde. She was slim-built and considerably tall for someone her age.

Why would I have such twisted thoughts suddenly? I shook the thoughts from my head, opening the notebook. The first thing I’ve noticed was the word ‘bitch’ , but a funny drawing captured my eyes, a laugh escaped my lips. “Andy can be childish sometimes” I mumbled, looking at the witch with green eyes and red hair she drew just below the word ‘bitch’. I started to turn pages, narrowing my eyes as I glanced at the sketches. This girl has a horrible talent when it comes to drawing, I smiled, turning pages once more, I stopped when I noticed a poem.

And they were amazing. It appeared to be a hand-drawn comic, inked in black and white, completed with speech bubbles and onomatopoeia. The characters looked like anime drawings, with cute faces and big eyes. They were gorgeous.

It was a cute sketch of a coat with flower designs on the sleeves and tiny butterflies flying around the fabric. “That’s really pretty,” I said honestly. “Thanks. I call it Spring in Paris,” she said proudly. I looked around. Some students were completely focused. Jordan was biting the end of his pencil while sketching something geometric design. Elisa had drawn a dress that I guess was made entirely of feathers.

Because after I was done, I looked down. I saw Angelstar, my wolf, and a beautiful wolf has a midnight color on his tail and under his chest with a shape of a paw on his chest. I knew it was a bigger guy than her and me because they were on the mountain top watching the sky. Then something came to my mind. So I started drawing on the other pad. I was underlining the picture and coloring and shadowy the part of the picture. Once I was done. I gasped and hid my flush face because I had drawn a girl with beautiful platinum blonde hair and purple eyes, but I kept my eyes on her. Oh, my God! The drawing looks just like-

The way some of the quieter kids flinched when certain footsteps approached. I knew the signs. I’d lived them. My tail lashed once, sharp enough to make the nearest pup squeak and hide behind a stuffed wolf. “Miss Nyx?” The little bandaged girl was back, holding up her drawing from earlier. “For you. Because you have a tail like a dragon.” It was me—crude purple horns, red eyes, black wings I definitely didn’t have, and a long violet tail curled protectively around a circle of smaller wolves.

She was somewhere around seven or eight, completely absorbed in whatever she was drawing, her tongue pressed to the corner of her mouth in concentration. I lowered myself carefully into a chair near her, mindful of my ribs, and looked at the paper. The drawing was full. Zayne's viewpoint I poured my focus into the sketch of Larissa I was working on. A sudden idea hit me to use Serenity, Larissa, and Starliss for fairytale art. I wasn't sure if it would turn out well but the idea was storming in my brain. I envisioned Larissa as a fairy. Larissa looks nothing like a fairy so that was the idea. How to turn her into a fairy, an angel, or a mermaid. It was just for fun and distraction.

“Mommy, Daddy, look!” Thomas turned off the stove, wiping his hands on a towel before crouching down to her level. “Let’s see this masterpiece.” Lily carefully held up the paper. The dragon she had drawn was big and colorful, with red wings, yellow flames, and a green tail. It was messy, with crayon lines darting everywhere, but it was full of heart. “Wow,” Thomas said, his voice filled with awe. “That’s the coolest dragon I’ve ever seen.”
