She moved through the clearing, doing the same for my fallen men. The carriage was a wreck, so we set up camp right there among the shattered trees. My men worked in a daze, looking at Novel with a mix of terror and profound gratitude. “The tent is ready, Alpha,” one whispered, bowing his head.
