"Tommy, we'll take you out after dinner. There's something going on nearby today. It'll be a lot of fun." Dad put his arm around my shoulders, the warmth of his palm seeping through my clothes, almost scalding. Talia quietly transferred some of her own money into my account, moving so carefully it was as if she were afraid of startling me. Mom sat across the table, smiling, her eyes full of quiet satisfaction. This family looked like they loved me, like everything was warm and perfect.

"And? She looked at Ares, whom she caught looking at her too. "That one big group is their entire family. And a family gather all together in one place. Even in times of trouble, calamities, or hunger, they will all stick together in one place. Just like you and your cousins. You all are helping each other, aiming the same goal, catching the same fire. Well, at least those were told by the books I read."

Stories from childhood, dreams, and happy memories became blessings that energized their journey through life. As the years go by, the simple post-church meal outings will become memories they cherish as each member matures. The home filled with joyous laughter and warm embraces will be part of the foundation of their family, fostering love and unity. No matter how simple their bonding moments may be, these will remain imprints of their love and care for one another. In every moment they spend together, the Eleazar family is whole and happy, allowing their hearts to always shine with love.

That any man with a family had to put in the time, because if you neglected your family I couldn't expect anything good from your ass, so you had to show me that you were man enough to man up. Most of our activities were family oriented, unless we were going to kick some ass, then we left the ladies at home. A fight was no place for a female, and women's rights could go fuck themselves if they thought differently. I had about ten God children because we're a clannish bunch. The women were close, and they were always planning shit. Everything revolved around food, I guess that's what happens when you have kids.

I walk over to the bed with her lay beside her. "You know what? I missed the hell out of your family. I don't think I've ever been so tired from having fun. I miss doing things like that." She explains. I look over to her and she continues. "Growing up, my parents considered bonding time fighting, seeing who would go down first. It's funny, it was the same any other day, but that was our Sunday ritual. Your family's tradition, is playing Yahtzee while your dad finds new ways of cheating. You should be really proud and happy to be with a family like this."

They're the only ones who will stand by your side, no matter how dark your days or how low you feel. Family provides comfort, love, and acceptance. Even though Gigi wasn't fortunate in life, God gave her a family that accepted her for who she was.
