The suspicion was gone, burned away by her truth. In its place was something more dangerous. I mind-link Xander, "Xander, can I see you in my office for a minute?" "Yes Alpha. I'll be right there." Less than a minute passes before there is a soft tap on the door and Xander enters. He walks straight over to me. "What's up boss?" "Have you had a chance to review the file about the girl found dead outside our territory yet?' He shook his head no, "Not yet. I was busy getting everything ready for the new arrivals. I was going to review it this evening." "Something feels strange about this one. Here, have a look," I say sliding the file toward him.

If I wasn't evil before then I was the devil now. X smiled widely, “I knew you were fierce, it runs in the family. My name is Xander by the way, you can call me that. And I see the way he is now, acting all changed but don't be fooled, he is a cunning bastard. But in case you waver, I want this document to be a reminder of what he has done” He pulled out a file from his suitcase and passed it to me.

“I've flirted with Xavier for three years, and he wouldn't even regard me. This time, I'll take him by force.” I remembered what he said—that he was no longer smitten by beautiful ladies. Her eyes fell on my chest, and I saw her flush. “What's that?” I asked, bewildered. My eyes dropped. My nipples were pointing. “Is there something wrong?” “Are you done with her documents?” Xavier’s deep voice broke the budding rivalry. She cleared her throat, stammering. “Yes, yes. I'm done.” She quickly handed the files over to me. My heart was hammering. I needed to know who she was to my daddy and if this was a new rivalry I'd have to deal with.

" Vivian begged. Chardon's face suddenly darkened and he smirked sarcastically. "What did you say? I'm ruining you filthy reputation?.... Well, let me tell you... you did it to yourself. Nobody told you to wh**ing around, right?" He then chose the files and took one, he returned the rest to Mr. Xavier. "In regards of the matter about your secret relationship with different men, there's a lot in here. But.... I Will forward to disclose the most violation you ever did while you are in the company."

I flipped to the next few pages, more hospital visits, more records. And some of the papers were torn. Jagged edges like someone had ripped pieces off. Someone is trying to hide something. My hands felt cold. The dates… they stretched back further and further. Long before Trisha even came to the mansion. Long before my wedding to Xavier. What did all of this mean? Why was Xavier connected to a psychiatric hospital, and why did Trisha hide this file like it was a dark secret? My thoughts tangled into a knot, and my chest felt tight.

He wanted to go through the old files before Owen came back. Soon he reached the mansion and went in. Joseph was stunned to see him, “Master, you are here.” But Xander didn’t respond and headed straight to the study. He opened the cupboard and looked for the files which were more than twenty years old. After rummaging the cabinet, he found two old files. He brought the files and sat on the sofa to check them. One of the files was Pinnacles' old documents, which were useless to him. He put aside it and checked the other one.

"You had a diamond in your hand, Lucian. But you were too busy looking for a pebble. Now, get out of my Gala." As security moves in to escort a screaming Lucian and a sobbing Cynthia out, Maya’s earpiece crackles. 'CEO, there’s a problem. The 'Project X' files we leaked... someone has intercepted the counter-data. It wasn't Lucian. It was a third party. We’re being hacked from inside the building.' Maya looks up, her eyes meeting Xavier’s and for the first time, she sees a flicker of something she doesn't recognize in his gaze.

He leaned in slightly, clearly intending to give me a quick peck. And then the door opened. We broke apart immediately. Xander walked back in. I did not need to look at Lucian to know he felt it too. The tension. The interruption. “Sorry,” Xander said calmly. “I forgot this file.” He walked over, picked it up from the table, and his eyes met mine again. There was something unreadable in them. Something sharp. He turned and walked out without another word. I stood frozen. Pretty sure he saw us.

“I assume you’re here about the unfortunate situation with Seraphina.” “Unfortunate?” Xander’s voice was deadly calm. “Mother, you helped her fabricate documents. You coordinated meetings. You orchestrated a fraud designed to destroy my marriage.” “I did no such thing. If Seraphina chose to—” “Don’t.” He pulled out his phone, showing her the photos Vivienne had provided. “We have documentation of every meeting. Dates, times, locations. We have witnesses who saw you together. We have phone records showing hundreds of calls between you. Don’t insult me by pretending ignorance.”
