“Do you know what the fuck she’s talking about?” “I…” Squinting, I began to wonder if maybe Izzy had—but no. So I shook my head. “No,” I admitted. “I have no clue.” Wick turned to his sister. “What the fuck are you talking about? What plan? And why in God’s name would you ever think you had to do this and ruin my life?” “No.” Izzy shook her head insistently. “It won’t ruin you, I promise. The readers adore you two. In fact, if the plan works, it’ll probably make heroes out of you.”

She growled. Harvey laughed the most evil laugh Aikiz ever heard. She shivered as his intimidating voice rang in her ear, “The mouth that says master and the eyes fall with hate.. they make me melt. Marchessa looked at Izzy with a gleam of hatred, her eyes shooting darts. “Many a shifter has met an unfortunate accident in Daikon. I would hate for that to happen to you,” Marchessa said, looking in Izzy’s eyes as she spoke. “Oh dear, either you do speak to outsiders or you no longer consider me one, whichever the cast may be, I am pleased to see you no longer need to use a thirteen year old to relay your message. That must be exhausting,” Izzy said as she leaned against the table watching Marchessa. She took a bite of her roll and chewed slowly, keeping her eye on the dark-haired girl.
