Salvation
(Final Flashback)
Blue
After driving for twenty minutes, I could feel Mike’s men following me like dogs, obedient but always watching. They trail me everywhere, never letting me out of their sight. Mike never lets me go anywhere alone, as if he’s convinced that I’d try to run away the first chance I got. And he’s not wrong. I’ve tried before, many times, but it always ends the same way—dragged back like an object, like a possession, tossed around like a toy as if I weren't human.
