He gestured for me to sit, and I obeyed, still trembling.
He folded his hands on the desk, leaning forward.
“Sir,” he began gently, “grief can hollow any man. Even the strongest. But there is a comfort the world cannot give. There is forgiveness that does not shame, and a salvation that does not abandon.”
My jaw clenched. I stared at the floor, refusing to lift my eyes. His voice pressed on.
“You do not have to carry this alone. Christ died for murderers, thieves, the broken, the proud… All of us. There is no sin too filthy for redemption.”
