the boy whispered. The girl with the glowing hands moved first. She didn't throw a punch. She clapped her hands together with terrifying force. A localized sonic boom erupted from her palms. The sound wave distorted the air, ripping the leaves from the trees and hurtling toward Baraka like an invisible freight train. Baraka didn't try to block it; he knew the concussive force would shatter his eardrums. He dropped to the dirt, the sonic wave roaring inches over his head, blasting a chunk of concrete off the blockhouse behind him.

"Don't worry, since you're willing to come abroad with me, I won't let you suffer. Come, my dear..." As he spoke, he reached out and tugged at Braylee's bikini, clearly burning with passion, ready to indulge in the moment. Just at that moment... Whoosh! A deafening sonic boom resounded from above the yacht. It was the Alexandra! The sonic boom generated by supersonic flight formed a turbulent white flow on the surface of the aircraft. The Alexandra's anti-gravity engine instantly activated, abruptly stopping above the yacht, casting a huge black shadow that completely enveloped the entire vessel.

Every time he tried to turn back, he found that the path ahead was still an endless corridor. "Damn it! What's going on?!" Boom swore. He ran into a fish tank that had just appeared in front of him and fell. He felt as if he were trapped in a labyrinth of fish tanks with no way out! The aquarium's laughter continued to echo around Boom, as if mocking his efforts. "He's trapped in an endless labyrinth!" Praewa said in a panic. She had read stories about distorted dimensions, and what was happening to Boom was terrifyingly similar. "It's attacking his mind," Ton said. "And distorting the reality around him."

And the sound was disturbingly loud, reaching wide across the room with a high and deep force; making a bang like a fired fowling piece. I could see Francis' eyes roll back in an instant shudder, as he dropped off the balance of his feet, and landed on the floor in a loud thud. He immediately lost consciousness as the sonic boom that came out from the man's mouth hit his ears, and Elora was as surprised as I was. The towering man's laugh now towered over his own head, as he watched Francis laid flat on the ground. "I see the pack now raises weak wolves..." he laughed, shaking his head. "Freaking Thumbsuckers!" he boomed.

She roared. Joshua is looking at Mel in shock. Clearly, he didn’t know his sister had a talent. He nodded, and Jaxon was crying. The fear in his eyes breaks my heart. I can’t look in that window right now. I can’t bear to see how Jude may look right now. Mel claps her sonic boom once, and the walls shake…twice, the brick around the doorframe cracks…thrice, and the frame is broken completely. On the fourth clap, the door falls to the ground, and Jaxon snarls viciously, as does Joshua.

It was steadier than the heavy footsteps of the reinforced Echo we had left damaged behind us, lower and more continuous, like a second containment grid cycling up from somewhere beneath the tunnel floor. The mechanical hum we had been hearing for levels layered itself under this new frequency until the two vibrations traveled through the water and the metal and into my bones. Kael’s hand stayed locked around mine. Through the bond the failsafe answered the rising sound with a cold, precise surge. Black flooded the edges of his amber eyes and held, fighting for more ground than it had taken in the last stretch of tunnel.
