My hands shook as I pulled out the coloring book. I held it to my chest for a moment, then carefully opened it.
The pictures in the first few pages were completely coloured.
I flipped through slowly, looking at each picture. A wolf howling at the moon, colored in bright purple and orange. A wolf running through a forest. Two wolves playing together, one pink and one blue because according to her “wolves can be any color they want, Mommy.”
