Still I forge on, though I certainly make note of the idea for the future. There are odd things too, like the giant frog telling fortunes for a call-in psychic hotline, or the pirate ship full of ballet-dancing vegetables. Others simply make me smile, like Gloria’s craving-driven fantasy of a real-life candy land, or my own childhood wish of riding a dragon as it flies through the air on great leathery wings.

Then yes, but the story will also involve the kids of the leads from a few of my other stories. The book will involve them going to a supernatural/magic college and fighting threats on campus. “Make it a good one.” “Oh, I shall!” it chittered, and with a flourish, it conjured a new narrative pocket in our world. This one wasn't tiny. It was a full-scale, shimmering mirage that overlay a corner of the garden. It depicted a classic, sweeping fantasy epic—knights, dragons, a quest for a glowing mcguffin. But something was off. The knight kept tripping over his own cloak. The dragon was afraid of heights. The glowing mcguffin was just a very persuasive lightbulb.

he asked seriously. "No, Beta, I wasn't telling you a fairy tale. I was telling you a story my mother usually told me and said how true it was. We both know how warlocks and witches do exist. Some practice dark magic while some pure magic, but have we ever heard of one that brings another to life?" I asked as he looked at me coldly. "Assuming your little fairy tale is an actual true story, how do I get to the evil territory?" he asked. "By crossing two big rivers, a mountain, and the forever rainy forest!" I answered.

In another, I'm a lone wanderer, my powers sealed away as I struggle to find my place in a world that fears me. I see wars and peace, love and loss, triumph and heartbreak – all playing out across the vast tapestry of possibility. And through it all, a common thread: the looming threat of the Void, waiting for any weakness to exploit.

Their journey has ended, but there are still so many stories left to explore in this world. I'm eager to dive into a new storyline, one that involves sea creatures like mermaids and serpents, perhaps even bringing back dragons into the mix.
