"We will not be able to communicate while I am in my wolf form since you can't mindlink yet. Hold on tight." I nodded at the gardenia. There was a moment of silence, and then a warm snout nudged my shoulder. I turned and gaped, tilting my head upwards. A huge black wolf was staring at me with intelligent amber eyes. I felt a shiver run through me. "Whoa", I whispered. I'd never seen any wolf as big as he was. He easily topped me by a few inches and there was not a single speck of colour on his thick fur. He nudged me again. I reached out a hand and ran my fingers through soft fur.

A smile creeps into my lips when I saw my stubborn friend took her seat unwillingly with a scowl on her face. So there's someone who can tame this tigress. "Going back. We need to mask her 'scent' for these creatures." He said while putting much emphasis on the word "scent" as he glances sideways towards Sassy. "Why? They seem friendly to other fantasians." I asked, remembering how Jada, a fooleys living in the palace treats me. Fooleys are large creatures, can be passed being called a giant, with red skin and a horn between their forehead. Their sharp fangs were showing and their ears are like that of an elephant.

I looked across the veiling wall to see that Dymian had set the keystone in the carved slot, and Farrah crouched on the platform, drawing something with chalk as Dymian removed the medallion from around his neck. All this time, the guys had shifted into their formidable wolves to fight the fray of furcans and Worgens. Others surrounded our barrier, ramming their large furry bodies against it. “What’s that sparking from the tips of their fur?” I asked Penn as my heart slammed against my ribs. The barrier shimmered with each bang, and several blue-white lines skittered over the surface that came from the furcan’s furs.

His eyes were blood red already and his voice shook the foundations of the palace. Jaime fell back, intimidated by the size of Jimin’s wolf, Fur. Fur was huge, about seven feet tall and it was grey in color. Fur was easily one of the most feared wolves in the pack because of it’s tremendous strength. The last time Jimin had transformed to his wolf form, he had singlehandedly taken down six full grown lycans. He came back wounded of course but he succeeded in killing all the lycans and keeping the pack and the pack’s secret existence, safe. Seeing Jimin transform into his werewolf form, Jaime was scared to death.

His single eye sweeps over us coldly. “The rules are simple: survive until sunset or incapacitate your opponent,” his voice booms without any amplification. “Release the beasts!” The iron gate on the north side opens with a painful screech. From the darkness within, several level one and level two Feral Beasts emerge. They are nearly the size of elephants, with black and brown fur. Their fangs drip with venom. Their eyes glow red. And they have wings. The damn creatures hover slightly above the ground.

The battle had begun, and there would be no mercy. I turned my attention to King Rufus. His transformation into his wolf form was immediate and imposing. His fur was a dark, hulking grey, his eyes burning with a fierce, almost feral, hatred. His muscles rippled beneath his fur, coiled and ready to strike. We began to circle each other, a predatory dance of life and death.

Everyone shared confused glances before Furo, stoned and in his tiger form, stumbled in. He was in a cat sweater and had a collar with a bell on it. "Hate…" Everyone lost their shit at that moment. Nyx and Sal, just rejoining them, fell to the floor in laughter. "You look adorable!!" Nyx gasped out. She watched him try to walk and held her sides. "But it's so funny to see you walk!!"

On the cots there were blankets, a pillow and a fur. Mary couldn't help but had to step forward and put her hand on the fur that lay on her cot. She had never felt anything like it in her life.
